Segro delivers a logistics platform to PassionFroid PACA in Vitrolles (13)
Segro announces the delivery of an 18,000 m² logistics building for PassionFroid PACA, within the Segro Logistics Park Vitrolles. Designed for the storage of fresh and frozen products, it is Breeam certified at the "Excellent" level.
Segro, a specialist in logistics real estate, provides an 18,000 m² logistics platform, in partnership with Gemfi (Gicram Groupe), located on the Segro Logistics Park Vitrolles in the Bouches-du-Rhône region. Intended for PassionFroid PACA, a branch of the Pomona group, it is entirely dedicated to the storage and distribution of fresh and frozen food products. "The move of our PassionFroid PACA branch to a brand new state-of-the-art building opens a new page for our branch," explains Luc Taupin, Regional Director of PassionFroid PACA. First of all, we are increasing our surface area and storage capacity in order to be able to continue to expand our product ranges, to better meet the expectations of our restaurant customers. This move will also contribute to the well-being of the employees, who will move in October to a modern and more practical building, close to our current warehouse." The new site will accommodate 290 employees, a third of whom will work in administrative functions.
Two cells in negative cold and one zone in controlled temperature
Located 15 km from Marseille, near Marseille-Provence airport and the A7 motorway, this logistics building includes: two negative cold cells (-25°C), a temperature-controlled storage area (1 to 3°C), approximately 3,000 m² of modern offices, as well as indoor and outdoor rest areas.
Breeam certified at the "Excellent" level, it has a roof fully equipped with photovoltaic panels, capable of producing about 1.4 MWh of green electricity per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 280 households, according to Segro. "This latest-generation building meets the highest standards in terms of energy performance, comfort for employees and environmental responsibility," says Laurence Giard, Managing Director of Segro France. We are particularly proud to contribute, together with the Pomona Group and our partner Gemfi, to the development of an innovative logistics ecosystem committed to the energy transition. »
