Western France logistics company, Groupe SF has unveiled big expansion plans, with a new collaboration in the port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire.
Groupe SF announced the collaboration with France’s fourth largest seaport that enjoys annual traffic of 30 million tonnes, for the construction of a 12,000 m² multi-temperature warehouse in the Montoir-de-Bretagne industrial and logistics hub.
The warehouse will have a storage capacity of up to 20,000 pallets, with a temperature range of -18°C to +14°C.
In addition, the centre will provide reefer container connections and charging stations for electric trucks.
There are also future plans for a rail connection to the warehouse to facilitate more sustainable logistics options.
The project marks a new milestone in the development of Groupe SF, a specialised regional road transport and logistics operator, founded in 1999, that primarily serves the agri-food sector in the Pays de la Loire and Brittany regions, in France’s west.
Groupe SF thanked the Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port authority “for its trust through the AMI”, with the construction due to start in 2028.
