Revolutionizing European e-commerce fulfillment

In a significant move for European e-commerce logistics, Dimolog, an entity of the Dimotrans Group, has inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art distribution center in Bain-de-Bretagne, Brittany, France. This impressive 19,000 m² facility reinforces a 14-year partnership with beauty giant L'Oréal, establishing itself as a crucial direct-to-consumer hub for 24 of L'Oréal's brands across Europe.

Built by Idec and developed by Argan with its "AutOnom" label, the warehouse boasts a Breeam Very good certification, underscoring its commitment to environmental responsibility. Operational since March 2025 following its early January delivery, this multi-million euro investment houses a team of 100 employees, ready to drive the future of personalized e-commerce logistics.

Unmatched capacity and cutting-edge automation

The new center significantly expands Dimolog's operational footprint, increasing its capacity by over 80% compared to its previous 6,000 m² site. With 9,000 m² dedicated solely to L'Oréal, the facility is engineered to support the continuous growth of L'Oréal's e-commerce activity, projecting an annual order processing capability of 1.7 to 2 million by the second half of 2026. This includes readiness to absorb e-commerce order preparation and delivery for the United Kingdom.

Technology is at the heart of this new hub. Dimolog has integrated advanced mechanized and robotic solutions, including a goods-to-man system redesigned by Breton integrator AB Process and robotic expertise from Scallog. This system features six stations and 32 robots, specifically optimized for low-rotation items. The entire operation is orchestrated by Dimolog's proprietary B2C-focused WMS Ego, ensuring efficient and precise order fulfillment.

Delivering ultra-personalized customer experiences

More than just a warehouse, this facility acts as an "e-commerce production factory" for its clients. It serves as the backbone for over a hundred European L'Oréal websites, dispatching 14,000 references across 13 European countries via 20 different transport solutions. Products arrive weekly from seven supply points across Europe, ensuring a seamless flow.

A key differentiator is the focus on "ultra-personalization." Dimolog has developed bespoke services for client marketing needs, including product engraving, brand-specific page background adaptations, and the creation of personalized gift cards. This commitment to detail ensures that every order resonates with the end customer, reflecting a luxury brand experience.

Strategic location and sustainable operations

The choice of Bain-de-Bretagne, south of Rennes, highlights the strategic importance of Brittany as a dynamic region for logistics development. The new facility not only addresses L'Oréal's expansive needs but also provides additional capacity to welcome other clients, leveraging the region's robust infrastructure and Dimolog's proven expertise.

The Breeam Very good certification aligns with modern demands for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), offering businesses a sustainable choice for their logistics operations. This facility is a testament to blending high operational efficiency with environmental consciousness, meeting the stringent standards of the beauty industry and beyond.

Opportunities for businesses seeking advanced logistics solutions

For businesses looking for sophisticated, scalable, and sustainable warehousing and e-commerce fulfillment solutions in Europe, Dimolog's new Breton hub presents a compelling opportunity. Its advanced automation, capacity for personalization, and strategic location make it an ideal partner for brands aiming to optimize their direct-to-consumer strategies and expand their European market reach.
