Segro has delivered a new-generation logistics facility within the Segro Logistics Park Vitrolles, near Marseille, for PassionFroid PACA, a branch of the Pomona Group. Dedicated to storing fresh and frozen food products, the 18,000 m² site is Breeam “Excellent” certified and sets a benchmark in energy efficiency, employee well-being, and environmental responsibility.
According to EOL’s analysis, the French market for logistics warehouses over 10,000 m² has seen a slowdown in rental demand, with transaction volume down 24.5% compared to the first half of 2024. However, investment activity remains strong, with a 17% increase in invested capital, reflecting growing interest in logistics assets.
ID Logistics will take over the logistics operations of Purflux Group at a new site in Laronxe, France, from September 2025. The facility will serve as a distribution hub for Europe, the French Overseas Territories, and Africa.
Groupe SF announced the collaboration with France’s fourth largest seaport that enjoys annual traffic of 30 million tonnes, for the construction of a 12,000 m² multi-temperature warehouse in the Montoir-de-Bretagne industrial and logistics hub.
The 75 000 m2 warehouse, Maersk’s first in France and strategically located in GLP Park Denain (Hauts-de-France), is already operational. It is the latest addition to Maersk’s portfolio of over 40 warehouses and distribution centres in 15 European countries and over 500 such facilities globally.

The self-storage sector in France continues to grow despite economic challenges from inflation and a downturn in the real estate market. About 5.4 million square feet of new space were added to the French market in 2024, representing an approximate 10% growth. France is now the second-largest self-storage market in Europe after the United Kingdom, with strong development both in major cities and smaller urban areas.
